Our Program

The Program

.....Snakes are one of the world's most misunderstood creatures and most people fear them or think they are slimy and disgusting. Even harmless snakes are often killed on sight, yet without snakes we would be overrun with pests, such as mice, rats, and insects, and the world of medicine wouldn't have their venom to help create new treatments for diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, heart attack, and stroke. Serpentime aims to help educate the public about these misunderstood reptiles and replace fear with respect.

.....Serpentime's program is both educational and fun. Our programs cover everything from how snakes benefit our environment and the crazy things they eat to snake safety and useful ways to identify venomous species in Pennsylvania. During a program you can see, touch, and even hold our live snakes, test your knowlege with identification and fun facts flash cards, and even ask questions of the presenter.

.....We offer a variety of programs, which can be tailored to your specific age group and needs. Serpentime is an on-location program and can be held indoors or outside if weather and temperature permit.
